Position Description
TBTE is seeking a recruitment-focused HR professional to support the growth and daily operations of our expanding organization. This role is responsible for leading and executing full-cycle talent acquisition while supporting the development and administration of our compensation and rewards framework and coordinating key HR functions across our offices. The successful candidate will apply strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills to proactively attract, assess, and secure top technical talent, while also supporting workforce planning, compensation and total rewards strategy, onboarding, and compliance in a fast-paced, technical environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring effective collaboration between management, project teams, and administration while promoting a professional, organized, and safety-conscious workplace.
Position Responsibilities
• Leverage your existing network in the engineering consulting industry to recruit technical and non-technical roles (eg. EITs, Engineers, Technologists, Project Managers, Field Staff, etc.).
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
• Draft and post job advertisements, screen resumes, track applicants, coordinate interviews, and facilitate offers.
• Work with managers and leads to understand workforce needs and hiring priorities.
• Support orientation, onboarding and exit processes.
• Assist with HR administration including policy development and compensation architecture.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in Human Resources with a focus on talent acquisition, supported by a diploma or degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field. This role requires a minimum ten years of experience in recruitment and/or HR, preferably in an engineering consulting, technical, or professional services environment. Candidates should have a strong understanding of HR administration and employment practices and have a proven ability to source and recruit technical professionals. Experience working in a fast-paced, growing organization with multiple geographic office locations is an asset.
This position is classified as full time. Rate of pay will be commensurate with related experience ($80,000.00 +) and qualifications.
