Position Summary :
Reporting to the Manager, People Systems and Analytics, the HR Business Analyst will support organizational initiatives by analyzing Human Resources business and HR systems -related processes, eliciting and documenting requirements, and contributing to the development and implementation of solutions that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience.
This role plays a key support function within current and ongoing HR project based initiatives , with a focus on HR data analysis, migration, and integration across systems. Working collaboratively with business stakeholders, operational leaders, and technical teams, the HR Business Analyst translates business needs into clear, actionable requirements that enable informed decision-making and effective solution delivery.
The HR Business Analyst will operate with a high degree of analytical independence once priorities and direction are established , providing structured analysis, documentation, and advisory support within assigned scope to inform decision making.
Responsibilities:
• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements to support HR-related initiatives and system changes.
• Develop and maintain requirements documentation and traceability throughout the initiative lifecycle.
• Support data mapping, business rules definition, and HR data definitions alignment across systems.
• Work closely with HR stakeholders, operational leaders, and technical teams to clarify needs, confirm understanding, and support shared outcomes.
• Facilitate and participate in meetings and working sessions to gather input, validate requirements, and support effective collaboration.
• Document current-state and future-state HR systems processes and workflows using standard tools and templates.
• Support solution design activities by ensuring business requirements are accurately reflected.
• Participate in testing activities, including user acceptance testing, and support issue identification and resolution.
• Support change and adoption activities by contributing to communication, training, or transition materials as required .
• Gather post-implementation feedback and identify opportunities to improve HR business processes and analysis practices.
• Provide analytical support to continuous improvement efforts within scope of assigned work.
Position R e quirements :
• University Bachelor’s degree in Business , Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Minimum two (2) years of related business analysis experience.
• Experience working with HR IS systems , workforce, or people data in a healthcare environment is an asset.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret and reconcile data across systems.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively while managing assigned work independently.
Preferred Requirements:
• Familiarity with HRIS implementations or data migration initiatives is an asset.
