Conestoga Contracting Group is growing and looking for skilled, self-motivated Horticultural Technician, with experience in leading teams that is also open to snow removal in the winter time.
A Horticultural Technician is responsible for the care, maintenance, and enhancement of landscapes and plantings in a variety of settings including commercial, residential, and public spaces. This role combines technical knowledge of plant care with hands-on landscaping work and often includes client interaction and team collaboration.
Job Duties:
Plant Maintenance & Care
• Prune, fertilize, transplant, water, and care for ornamental plants, shrubs, flowers, and trees.
• Diagnose and treat plant health issues including pest infestations and diseases.
• Operate irrigation systems, ensuring optimal watering of plant
• material
Landscape Installation
• Read and interpret landscape plans and designs.
• Prepare soil, install plant material, lay sod, and apply mulch as required.
• Assist with hardscaping tasks such as the installation of retaining walls, edging, and pathways.
Turf Maintenance
• Perform lawn mowing, edging, aeration, and overseeding.
• Apply fertilizers and control products for optimal turf health.
Equipment Use & Maintenance
• Safely operate power equipment including trimmers, blowers, mowers, and other landscaping tools.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
Safety & Compliance
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Customer Interaction
• Communicate with clients on-site to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
Minimum Requirements for this role:
• Must possess a valid G class driver’s license.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the landscape industry
• Fluency in English, oral and written communication
• Personal mobile device with data plan for communication, time and project tracking.
• Ability to work on call 24/7 during winter months for snow removal

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
