In this role you will be responsible for:
• Safe blasting of underground excavations and development of waste and reef footprint
• Conduct daily entry examinations, risk assessments, marking off support
• Identify the reef band and mark the face as per geological reports, and charge up the face
• Plan and coordinate mine activities in line with targets and objectives and stick to a workable productive mining cycle
• Personal Management and Crew control – Supervision of team and management of performance
• Communication of mining plans and allocation of responsibilities to the crew
About you:
• Grade 12
• Blasting certificate for scheduled mines
• Competent A Certificate
• At least three 3 (three) years’ experience working in an underground mining environment
• Board and Pillar, Trackless Mining experience
• Medically Fit for underground
• Ability to work shifts
