Currently, we seek motivated and mechanically inclined individuals for our manufacturing location.
Material Handler DAYS Shirley Drive, Kitchener
HOURS: DAY – Monday – Thursday 6:30am - 4:30pm
Duties Include:
• Safe and focused operation of the lift truck at all times.
• Loading & unloading for receiving and shipping.
• Weighing of parts upon receiving when necessary.
• Storage of parts in all areas.
• Movement of in process bins.
• Verify part count when shipping and receiving.
• Supply parts to machines when required.
• Tag receiving bins/containers with material tags.
• Empty chip bins.
• Perform other duties when assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
• previous Lift Truck certification required
• previous overhead crane experience an asset
• minimum 2 years of related experience in facilities and machine shop
• Self-motivated team player with ability to work in multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment at times.
• Punctual, reliable, strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
Physical Demands:
• Required to carry out routine, repetitive tasks such as reaching, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, lifting, packing, stacking, bending, climbing / descending / going under or on equipment as well as some physical lifting.
• Regularly exposed to noise, temperature change and lubricants and vibration.
• Wears all PPE as required.
