PWS Sales Manager
This position is accountable for identifying, developing and driving sales opportunities in Power and Water industries across the Africa Region. The candidate must be skilled in driving diverse customer discussions and should have excellent abilities in building network, driving results, and collaborate with different functions within an organization.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Builds and manages long-term customer relationships and resolutions to specific customer needs and issues.
• Drives growth in Power and Water bookings for Africa Region by winning new PWS & Renewables installed base with existing and new customers.
• Pursues, qualifies, and leads new opportunities to increase PWS & Renewables market share in Africa Region.
• Manages the regional opportunity funnel and submits monthly and yearly forecasts for bookings to regional team and business leader.
• Protects, upgrades, and upsells existing PWS & Renewables installed base. Understands the customer power and water plants KPIs and budgeting cycles, and can identify customer priorities.
• Collaborates with country managers across countries and hubs in Africa. Proactively reaches out and enhances the relationship with existing and potential customers in Power and Water industry.
• Leads all solutions workshops with the qualified customers, collaborates with Sustainability team to enhance and deliver the Power and Water sustainability message to customer.
• Leverages the local Sales channels and Service teams to identify and qualify opportunities and drive the teams to enter all opportunities into the appropriate Business Systems.
• Reviews and provides input/feedback on all proposals generated by Proposal team, collaborates with global Subject Matter Experts to build the best suited technical solution for customers.
• Proven expertise in high-value business negotiations and strategic deal-making.
• Experience in AI-powered improvement tools
• Experience and a good understanding of predictive analytics, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Solution-selling mindset, with the ability to position Emerson’s offerings as holistic, value-driven solutions rather than standalone products.

• Strong business skills & commercial awareness
Ability to communicate and deliver the business-based value messages.
• For this Role, You Will Need:
• B.Sc. in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical or instrumentation) or Equivalent.
5-8 years of relevant work experience in power and water industries,
• Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
• Previous Experience with customer interactions.
Exposure to different types of projects.
