Job Summary
Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for a detail-oriented Order Picker to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing products for shipment, ensuring efficient warehouse operations. This role requires physical stamina, mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with warehouse management systems to support seamless order fulfillment.
Shifts:
8am-5pm Monday - Friday
9am- 4pm on Saturday.
Saturday availability is required for this role. You will receive either Monday or Tuesday off in place of Saturday.
Duties
• Select and pick customer orders using warehouse management system (WMS) software
• Operate clamp trucks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
• Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic maintenance
• Accurately count, verify, and package items according to order specifications
• Perform heavy lifting of products and materials as needed, adhering to safety protocols
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
• Assist in inventory management by conducting stock counts and updating records in the system
• Follow safety guidelines during all warehouse activities to prevent accidents or injuries
Requirements
• Prior experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or related roles preferred
• Ability to operate clamp trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment
• Mechanical knowledge or aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying orders accurately
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during shifts
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and quality control
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
