Freelance Content Creator — Local Restaurant Spotlights
KWMotion — Kitchener-Waterloo, ON
Freelance • $50 per shoot • Flexible schedule
KWMotion is a local food and culture page highlighting restaurants around Kitchener-Waterloo. We’re looking for creative people to visit restaurants, capture behind-the-scenes footage, and deliver raw video content for our social media spotlight series.
No formal experience required, but interest in social media, food content, or videography is a big plus. Perfect for students, beginner creators, or anyone wanting to build a portfolio.
Responsibilities:
• Travel to local restaurants for scheduled visits
• Film behind-the-scenes content (kitchen shots, plating, atmosphere, etc.)
• Capture short-form, social-style clips (phone filming is fine)
• Send raw footage back to us & we'll handle the editing
Qualifications:
• Enjoy filming and storytelling through video
• Are comfortable talking to owners/chefs while recording
• Are reliable, communicative, and pleasant to work with
• Have an interest in food, social media, or local businesses
• Can get around to restaurants independently
Compensation:
$50 per restaurant visit/filming session
(Filming usually takes about an hour including travel. No editing required.)

Expected hours: No more than 2 per week
