1. What data we collect

• Account data: name, email, password (hashed), profile photo.
• Profile data: whatever you voluntarily enter (bio, experience, education, skills).
• Usage data: posts, comments, likes, messages, job applications.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, login timestamps.

2. How we use your data

• To run the Platform and show your profile to others per your privacy settings.
• To send notifications (likes, comments, messages, job reminders) via app and email.
• To suggest connections, jobs, and content relevant to you.
• To improve the Platform (aggregate analytics only).
• To fight spam and protect users.

3. Who can see your data?

You control it. From Privacy & Settings:

• Profile: public / connections only / private
• Email, phone: same options
• Who can message you: anyone / connections / no one
• Anonymous browsing: don't appear in "Who viewed my profile"
• Disable appearing in search results

4. Your rights (GDPR + privacy laws)

• Access: download all your data as JSON from privacy settings.
• Rectification: edit any profile info anytime.
• Erasure: request account deletion (30-day grace period).
• Object: opt out of personalized ads in privacy settings.
• Withdraw consent: change optional cookie preferences anytime.

5. Cookies

We use two types:

• Essential: session (login), language preference, theme. Cannot be disabled.
• Optional: usage analytics. Accept or decline from the consent banner.

6. Third-party sharing

We do not sell your data. We may share limited data with:

• Email provider (to send verification + notification emails).
• Payment gateway (to process subscriptions — we never store card data).
• Government authorities only when legally required.

7. Security

We use HTTPS encryption, bcrypt password hashing, CSRF protection, prepared statements. No system is 100% secure — keep your password safe and never share it.

8. Children

The Service is not for users under 16. If we learn that a younger child created an account, we will delete it immediately.

9. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice.
