الوصف الوظيفي
Introduction
We are growing our network and are looking for people who take pride in their work, show up with consistency, and genuinely care about the wellbeing of those they look after.
Whether you have been a housekeeper for ten years or you have spent your career caring for the elderly, if you are good at what you do and you do it with heart, we want to hear from you.
Duties & Responsibilities
As a CareCircle registered professional, you will be matched with households and families based on your specific skills, experience, and availability.
Placements may be full-time, part-time, live-in, or project-based depending on the needs of the household.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will depend on your area of placement and may include:
• Providing personal care and support to children, elderly individuals, or those with medical needs in a home environment.
• Preparing and serving meals according to dietary needs or household preferences.
• Maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas.
• Managing laundry, ironing, and the general upkeep of household linens and clothing.
• Assisting with morning and bedtime routines for children or those in your care.
• Supporting mobility — helping individuals move safely around the home, assisting with transfers, and accompanying them to appointments where required.
• Administering basic care tasks as directed, such as wound dressing support, medication reminders, or post-operative assistance under guidance of a medical professional.
• Keeping a calm, safe, and structured environment, especially when caring for young children or individuals with complex needs.
• Communicating openly and honestly with the household or family about the wellbeing of those in your care.
• Maintaining confidentiality and treating all household members with dignity and respect at all times.
What we expect from everyone in our network:
• You are reliable — you honour your commitments and give proper notice when circumstances change.
• You are discreet — you respect the privacy of the families and individuals you work with.
• You are honest — you represent your skills and experience accurately.
• You are adaptable — every household is different, and you approach each placement with a willingness to learn and adjust.
• You take care of yourself — you understand that to care well for others, you need to be in a good place yourself.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Basic Requirements:
• A minimum of 3 years of verifiable work experience in your area of service
• A clear criminal record — SAPS clearance will be required during the vetting process
• At least two contactable references from previous employers or families you have worked with
• A valid South African ID or work permit
• Basic communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage)
• Relevant certificates such as First Aid, ECD, or SANC registration are an advantage but are not required for all roles
