Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cook/Cashier. This role involves providing exceptional food service in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient and friendly interactions. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cashiering, and food handling, with a strong emphasis on sanitation and food safety standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the food industry while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and quality standards
• Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately handling cash and credit transactions
• Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries
• Handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards in all areas of the kitchen and dining space
• Assist with upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and equipment in compliance with health regulations
• Support team members during peak hours to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Qualifications
• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred but not required
• Knowledge of POS systems, including Micros POS, is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order accuracy
• Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation procedures
• Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Kitchen experience or food preparation skills are desirable
• A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
