Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the kitchen team, ensuring smooth and efficient food preparation
• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines
• Oversee food handling procedures to maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards
• Assist with menu planning, ingredient ordering, and inventory management to optimize kitchen operations
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on continuous improvement
• Ensure all meals are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining consistency and attention to detail
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
• Proven team lead experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or casual dining setting
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, knife skills, and meal preparation methods
• Experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
• Familiarity with food safety standards, food handling practices, and sanitation protocols
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively in a high-pressure environment
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in menu planning and food presentation
• Prior experience in catering or large-scale food industry operations is advantageous
