About the Role
We are expanding a large-scale retail data project and are looking for dedicated team members to help us create a 3D floorplan of the store. In this role, you will visit local grocery and retail stores, walk through the store, and capture detailed data using a scanning app on your iPhone Pro (models 13, 14, 15, or 16 — regular Pro or Pro Max).
This position is not sales or mystery shopping. It’s a straightforward, hands-on data collection role with clear step-by-step instructions provided. You will be trained on how to scan stores, hold your phone, and upload results efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct in-store data collection using LiDAR scanning on your iPhone Pro.
• Follow detailed instructions to ensure accuracy and completeness of scans.
• Upload scan files and related data in a timely manner.
• Maintain professionalism, discretion, and respect while in public spaces.
• Coordinate with the team to meet weekly and monthly targets.
Requirements
✅ Open to traveling to stores across the province as needed
✅ Comfortable walking through stores and handling mobile scanning technology
✅ Own one of the following iPhone models (required for LiDAR scanning):
• iPhone 13 Pro / Pro Max
• iPhone 14 Pro / Pro Max
• iPhone 15 Pro / Pro Max
• iPhone 16 Pro / Pro Max
✅ Reliable internet connection to upload data
✅ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully
✅ Professional, polite, and discreet in public settings
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in gig work, field data collection, or retail scanning
• Familiarity with scanning apps such as Polycam, Matterport, or other 3D scanning tools
• Flexibility to cover multiple stores in your region
