Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial/Industrial Field Service Power Generation Technician with experience in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and AC/DC electrical repairs to join our team, you will be responsible for providing on-site maintenance and repair services for our customers. This position requires strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-oriented mindset.
Duties:
· Complete inspections and testing of Generators
· Perform Generator diagnostics, PM maintenance & repairs as assigned
· Diagnose/troubleshoot customer complaints to find the source of the problem(s) and repair as required
· Diagnosing and Repairing Diesel and Natural Gas/Propane engines as well as Alternator, Transfer Switch, Controller issues and performing Load Bank testing on commercial units.
· Delivery and commissioning of new equipment (placement, set up, programming)
· Perform warranty repairs
· Assist with sourcing parts as needed
· Ensure overall cleanliness of the shop and service truck
· Assist with loading and unloading deliveries
· Submitting daily reports/inspection sheets at end of workday
· Travel primarily in Southwestern Ontario daily
· Occasional travel across Ontario
Experience
We are seeking candidates with a strong electrical and/or mechanical background. Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
· Power Generation Technician Mechanically 3 years + (preferred)
·Candidate with a 310S or 310T or background working with generators in a commercial environment
· Field Service

·Valid 310t or 310s

Application question(s):
• Do you have diagnostic experience working mechanically side of Diesel and NG/LPG Generators?
• Do you have diagnostic experience working on A/C/DC electrical side on generators?
• Do you have experience working on Generators from 50kw-1000kw+?
• Do you have experience performing Load Bank/ATS power outage testing? And if yes up to what generator size i.e. 1000kw?
• Do you have experience working as a standby and Prime generator technician?
Education:
• AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
