Duties & Responsibilities
A leading and well-established organization operating in Tanzania is seeking to appoint a Head of Business as part of a confidential executive search.
This senior leadership role will be responsible for setting strategic direction, driving commercial performance, and overseeing overall business operations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in leading growth, strengthening governance, and delivering sustainable results.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic leadership and overall direction for the business
• Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion
• Oversee business operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and strong governance
• Lead, mentor, and develop senior management and high-performing teams
• Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and regulators
• Identify new opportunities while managing operational and commercial risk
Key Requirements
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role (Head of Business, Country Manager, General Manager, or similar)
• Strong commercial and strategic acumen with a track record of driving growth
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong understanding of the Tanzanian business environment
• Results-driven, hands-on, and strategically minded
• High levels of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
