QA Lead
Washington DC / Hybrid
The Quality Assurance (QA) Lead shall oversee the testing process for SEVIS and its subsystems to ensure testing is efficient and within the required timeline. They will work with SMU leadership to develop standards and specifications needed. They will design methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced system testing requirements. Responsibilities may include testing system integration, application program testing, database design testing, enterprise architecture integration.
Experience Requirements:
The QA Lead must have at least four (4) years of experience in project management and test management software, standard development and engineer processes. Must keep up to date on quality assurance standards, software, and practices. Keep the QA team informed about the latest industry trends and testing strategies.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Each degree may be substituted for up to 3 years of experience. Three (3) years of experience may be substituted for each required degree. Certifications related to the specific position are equivalent to 2 years of experience.
Education and Certification and Training may be used in place of experience - Bachelor’s degree is equivalent to three (3) years of experience, Master’s degree is equivalent to four (4) years of experience and a Doctorate degree is equivalent to five (5) years of experience.
Additional Required Knowledge and Skills: In addition, to the experience and educational requirements, the QA lead must have the following skills:
• Preparing analytical reports and assessments.
• Problem-solving.
• Excellent communication – particularly listening – skills.
• Leadership and mentoring skills.
• Highly desired is experience in:
• Working remotely in a highly collaborative environment and keeping a team engaged.
• Preparing analytical reports and assessments.
• Must have experience in test automation.
