Overview
We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installer to join our construction team. This position involves installing various types of flooring materials, including tile, hardwood, and laminate, in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with flooring installation and possess a strong understanding of construction principles. Duties
• Measure and prepare surfaces for flooring installation according to project specifications
• Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and install flooring materials accurately
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure precise layout and placement
• Lay tiles, hardwood, laminate, or vinyl flooring with attention to detail and quality standards
• Perform surface preparation tasks such as leveling, sanding, and cleaning subfloors
• Apply caulking or sealants as needed to ensure a finished, professional look
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely
• Maintain a clean work area and ensure all tools are properly stored after use
Experience
• Proven experience in flooring installation, tile laying, or related construction work
• Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Hands-on knowledge of carpentry, caulking, and general maintenance person skills is preferred
• Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
• Prior experience in residential or commercial renovation projects is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to follow safety protocols
This role requires a dedicated professional capable of delivering high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be comfortable working independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines while maintaining safety standards.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
