Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting a detail-oriented Order Desk Clerk to join our client’s team in the plywood industry.
Shift & Pay
· Day Shift: 7:00 AM –4:00 PM | $21 /hour
Position Summary
The Order Desk Clerk will support our client’s sales and purchasing teams by accurately processing customer orders, assisting with inquiries, and performing administrative duties. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
· Process sales orders, quotes, and customer requests at the sales counter.
· Assist with purchasing activities, including invoice matching and coordination with suppliers.
· Perform general administrative tasks to support daily office operations.
· Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, orders, and inventory data.
· Provide prompt, professional customer service by answering inquiries and resolving issues.
· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient order processing and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Position Requirements
· Previous customer service experience required.
· Order entry experience preferred.
· Experience in inside sales or purchasing is an asset.
· Background in a plywood, lumper, wood industry is highly desirable.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to work efficiently and accurately while meeting deadlines.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Friendly, professional, and team-oriented demeanor.
· Industrial orientation or familiarity with related industries is an asset.
