Duties & Responsibilities
• Relevant Tertiary (Logistics / Supply Chain / International Trade)
• Systems & Technology: SARS eFiling and EDI systems (e.g., CargoWise, ShipShape)
• Solid understanding and knowledge of INCO terms
• All modes of transport
• In-depth knowledge of relevant documentation: Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Certificate of Origin etc
• A clear track record:
• Familiarity with South African Revenue Service (SARS) customs regulations.
• Understanding of Customs and Excise Act and Import/Export Control
• Knowledge of tariff codes, HS classification, and valuation principles
